What is the status of the condo (527 Front Beach Road? reply charder@gloucesterva.info Thank you and GOD BLESS More info on Gulf Oaks - I'll email this to you as well: My mom made it out there twice today. She said that only my grandmother's unit and maybe 2-3 others had a 1st floor that wasn't pretty much destroyed. Her unit was on the next to the last row facing away from the beach. She said all other had pretty much lost the first floor, some of which were just studs. The rows on the 2 sides of the complex (facing inwards toward the pool, perpendicular to the beach), the first 2, maybe 3 units were just slabs. Sorry I don't have better news, but that's what I know right now. I'll be down there Saturday, and if I make it over there & can find the unit number that you emailed me earlier (or you can tell me where it is located in the complex), I'll try and get more specific details.

My grandmother lives on the 13th floor. She and my aunt spoke on Monday evening about 5:00 pm. Every at that time was still ok. I too am looking for more information on 921 Porter Street. We are hoping to evacuate my grandmother to my aunt's in Houston. Does anyone have more recent infomation on the Villa Maria Apartments? God Bless.

I spoke last night to a friend who drove from Mobile to Ocean Springs. He lives at 1702 Kensington Avenue at Magnolia, and he says that house survived with little damage as did the houses nearby. My friend's house at 1607 Porter is also intact. Live oaks fared well, but water oaks are down all over town. I hope this very limited information is helpful. RPerrin

Homes on the east side of Ruskin Ave. were either covered in water and/or are torn apart. Jennifer Thrift 248-324-2695 Can you tell me if the Villa Maria Condos on Porter St. is still standing. Is there any damage? My grandmother lives on the 2nd floor. My Aunt lives on the 13th floor of the Villa. We heard from her day before yesterday and they were okay. Only one room had air I believe. I've heard there is a website that has aerial photos of Ocean Springs that you can download. Does anyone know where I can find this information??

She is in her apartment on the 13th floor with air condition and power. It just came on. So maybe this will provide some peace for you all who have family in the Villa. God speed!

I just spoke with my mother and father, Lee and Dixie Stine, who live on Le Marin Court just off Lovers Lane. They are fine and got away with a couple of holes in the roof from fallen trees. Bob and Faye Moseley next door are well and have little damage. Dr. Jim and Marlys Drake are well with little damage. The Ishe houses are standing but have some water damage. The north end of Lovers Lane is bad.

I saw someone asking about holcomb blvd. My aunt lives in the 270 block and her house and her surrounding neighbors houses are ok. Just some trees down.
However, my cousin told my mom that there are dead bodies on the street, but I don't know which part of holcomb, that could have been the end by the beach.

The Museum is intact as well as the building next to it with the murel. Downtown does not appear to have much damage at all. A quote from my sister who drove through there said it looked like a Sunday afternoon, and everything was just closed.

The Gulf Hills hotel is in tact. I have started a separate thread on this board with news on houses and people in the Gulf Hills neighborhood and Windsor Park subdivision. Please post any concerns about those areas within that thread so I can respond to your requests faster. Be specific as possible about street numbers, streets and family names when you can. My parents are trying to gather info in the areas closest to them. Thanks and God bless.
