My grandmother lives on the 13th floor. She and my aunt spoke on Monday evening about 5:00 pm. Every at that time was still ok.
I too am looking for more information on 921 Porter Street. We are hoping to evacuate my grandmother to my aunt's in Houston.
Does anyone have more recent infomation on the Villa Maria Apartments?
God Bless.

My grandmother lives on the 2nd floor. Right now, my cousin who lives in south Knoxville is planning on heading down there to get her tomorrow. I have not spoken to him yet but if I do, I will give him a list of VM residents to check on.
If you have a loved one at Villa Maria, please e-mail me at mouselw72@yahoo.com and give me their full name and room number. I can't guarantee anything but I will see what I can do.

I believe you're asking about Gulf Oaks Condos (my grandmother lives there) - if I'm right, here's what little I know: If you haven't already seen it, the 2nd video from www.wlbt.com has a short piece in it where they're showing the marina/harbor just around the corner from the condos, and then they pan from there back to the beach. When they pan across, you can briefly see the condos and they are STILL STANDING. It's really hard to tell how much damage there is because the camera isn't on them long, but they aren't just destroyed like so much else of front beach is & look to be in decent shape (again, hard to tell). If you view the video, the section I'm talking about is about 5:20 minutes into the video. I sent this same info in email to charder.

Home at 292 Holcomb Blvd is fine with little damage. Home at 290 Holcomb Blvd has some damage. Home at 109 Stennis Avenue is fine. Other homes on Stennis Avenue have some damage from 2-3 ft flood waters, but all the houses are standing on Stennis Avenue. 5 homes on Stennis, on higher ground, had no flood damage.

Gulf Park Estates at the Marina and south suffered major damage. Neptune is mostly slabs, Seacliff, slabs and pilings, South Beachview-slabs, Home on Mermaid 5th in on south side 1st house with a front, the previous 4 are slabs or framing or just E/W walls-major storm surge/wave action in a Zone C 23ft elevation area.
Home on Eastland (south Bechtel) okay, Magnolia Bayou ok, exept for houses immediately on water.
