From what I have found out, the O.S. - Biloxi bridge is out, and most houses 1/4 of a mile from the beach or less are either gone or severely damged. I have gathered that the middle school is intact, so I assume that the hospital is also intact. If there is anyone who has actually been down to Ocean Springs lately, I am setting up a section so you can list what is still intact in O.S.

Does anyone know anything about the Trentwood subdivision in Ocean Springs. It is off of 90 just before Kelly's Lounge and the super Walmart. My parents, Patrick and Alice Phelan, live there and I haven't been able to contact them. If anyone has any information about them or the status of that part of Ocean Springs, please let me know.

We were fortunate enough to get word from our family this morning. We are not sure of any details about their area, all we know is that they are safe and were allowed to make a short phone call to relatives. How or on what they made this call is still not clear, we were just glad to know that they were safe. Well wishes to all of you. We'll keep your family members in our prayers.

Im writing from Chicago. My family has several family members in Ocean Springs from whom we have heard nothing... they all live within about a 1/4 mile of the beach (according to mapquest) and on Calhoun, Schmidt, and Wulff. They are very close to the Biloxi Bridge. Their names are:
Ruth and Richard McPhearson Ruth and Ron Woods Joye and Marc Shanteau
If anyone has information about them or specific information about the condition of their neighborhood please email me at:
Mark.Kraft@SBCglobal.net
The little we've seen in Chicago about Ocean Springs is very bad. We are very worried for their safety and that of all the residents down there. God Bless to all of you affected by this terrible storm. You are in our prayers.
