to mike barnes heading to O.S.- Make sure you have enough gas to get there and get back. We went in from Texas and once we hit the Miiss. state line, we couldn't find any gas. We didn't have any problems with closed roads. We went into Hattiesburg and turned south and went into Pasgagoula and then straight into O.S. on 90 and went stright to the base of the bridge to Biloxi with no problems. Like I said, just make sure you have enough gas and supplies to get in and get out.

Those of you with family and friends around OS, DO NOT GIVE UP praying and hoping. We just returned from there last night and found the place in good shape considering the circumstances. We did NOT see or even hear of death while we were there. The media has created panic. Pepole there simply cannot communicate with the outside due to down lines. They can't get out because there is no gas. DON'T write your loved-ones off. The roads are fairly clear for the most part. If you go, carry plenty of gasoline. E-mail us if you have any questions or need additional info. GOD BLESS US ALL!!!!!

For the gentleman who has an uncle near the hospital in Ocean Springs, Hwy 90 at least from Washington Ave and points east did NOT get any flooding. As a matter of fact there is electricicy and telephone svc--at least along Hwy 90. I talked with the O.S. police, Bienville Animal Hospital and the Safe Mini Storage---U-Haul place just east of the hospital. All were okay. The hospital even maintained operations during and after the storm. I hope this helps.

I have just heard from my brother, who has been "missing" since Sunday from Ocean Springs. He is alive and well and never left his home on Monticello Blvd. He said they chose to "ride it out" but we are uncertain as to the extent of damage he has faced. He has been text messaging to us and today for the first time was able to call from a phone (cell?) They have 2 feet of water in their home, severely damaged outside; don't know condition of neighbors or neighborhood but wanted all of you who are looking for family members or friends from that area, that it is possible they are still in their homes as well, but unable to communicate. DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE! KEEP YOUR PRAYERS ALIVE! Mine were definitely answered!

I have family and friends in Ocean Springs. My brothers are Bobby, Wayne, and Johnny Pitalo. I know they are okay, but have not spoken with any of the three. I heard that Pitalo's Auto Paint & Body shop was destroyed and that my brother Wayne's house was lifted off of it's foundation (St. Andrews area). I just wanted to let them know that our sister, Jackie is coming in from Ocala were I live. We packed the back of her truck with as many supplies as we could. Also, I have friends that I have not heard if they are okay or not. Their names are Terry and Vince Higgenbotham, Lancaster Lane, Windsor Park, N. Ocean Springs, and their mother, Sue Gladney. I would very much like to know if all are okay. If anyone can get in touch with my brothers or these friends, please tell them that we are praying for them all on a daily basis and my heart is breaking for them. My doors are open to any of them if they want to take a break from it all. Love all.... your sister, Cathy Pitalo Martin Hi Cathy, I know Johnny is fine, Sandi met him the other day and sent a generator and some other things. And, yes sounds like the shop was wiped out. Johnny's house was damaged a little but livable. Sue Gladney is fine and I assume Terry and Vince are or Karen would have told me. I will have Sandi find out about Bobby and Wayne if you haven't heard from them....send me your email address and we can stay in touch. My e-mail is janet_l_stennis@sbcglobal.net Best Regards
