[glow=red,2,300][/glow] ;DI just spoke to my mother, who lives on Porter Ave in Ocean Springs. Her power has just been turned back on! She also owns a house connected to Ward's power lines, but that one is not up yet. Anyway, hopefully, more power will be connected shortly.

I received a call from my parents in the Trentwood subdivision in Ocean Springs. It is located bwtween Riley Rd and Super Walmart off of Highway 90. The neighborhood has a lot of roof and siding damage with trees down. Overall, they said the houses faired well. They do have running water, electricity, and phone lines. If you haven't heard from your family and friends, their phone lines may be up now. Also, another good website for information is the Sun Herald web site.

Here is what I hear from the Ocean Springs neighborhood of St. Andrews Country Club. It's basically all gone. There are some homes still standing, but they are "see-through" and uninhabitable. That neighborhood is having it's streets bull-dozed as I write this. My sister's house is now a slab of concrete. As far as she knows, everyone she knows, but one family, had evacuated on Sunday. She is still uncertain as to the whereabouts of the family across the street. It's not good news, but I hope it helps to give you some idea of the status of that area, anyway. Good luck to you and yours.

They stayed put for Dennis, so I'm not sure they left for Katrina, they were undecided when we spoke with them on Saturday. Thanks for your time. sonya_27@hotmail.com
