Has anyone heard how the Bienvue animal shelter weathered?? I boarded my dog there. Please if anyone knows anything about the area let me know. The shelter is across 90 from the Winn Dixie??

My brother lives on Live Oak, 1 street south of Marina. Had a couple inches of water in his house and a couple of trees down. Hope that helps.

If anyone could please help pass word to Jennifer Wyatt (Magnolia Bayou Blvd) who is an ER nurse at the OS Hospital. Her husband Brent is deployed in Germany from Keesler AFB, she's pregnant and rode out the storm with their 3yr son in OS. Please tell her Brent is returning home and should be there Friday.

I too have family that lived in Ocean Springs. My cousin 'David Torri Hawkins, and My aunt 'Allegra Hawkins. All I know is that on 8/25/05 my aunt who has late stage lung cancer was admitted to Ocean Springs Hospital, I spoke with her son David on the morning of Aug. 28th., he had at that time had no plans to leave the area. We finally got word of mom's cousin Roland Figueroa...he is alive. He stayed in OS and is still there.

Also, another cousin said that their home at 1801 South 1st Street is still standing. No word on other homes in the area, but hopefully this is a good sign.

We are desparately trying to locate our step mother in Ocean Springs. We aren't sure she got out in time for the storm. Her name is Marilyn Swanson 700 Tantallon Dr, Ocean Springs, MS 39564, she is 71 years old. We can't get through to anyone out there, not emergency services, her neighbors, no one. We are going to get plane tickets to try to get out there, but was hoping if you could get any news or could direct us on how to get news. If you are able to locate her please let her know her son Scott Swanson is trying to find her. IF she needs us we can come right away.

DUDLEY: We have word from our family on Linda Circle, OS that they have been spared the worst of the damage. No flooding, just some wind damage. My mother's house at 157 Linda Cir just had some damage to the roof. My cousins house 3 doors down only had some down trees and fence. I hope this will ease your worries a bit until you contact your family. Best Wishes.

I am searching for my mother Joyce Halat and her neighbor Alma Brown they were staying at the church of christ( which is a shelter)behind Burger King by the Ft.Bayou Brige in OS. I haven't heard from them since Monday morning. If you have any info on this area please let me know. I heard Gulf Hills right across the way was bad, but this ground is a bit higher. Keeping each of you in my thoughts and prayers.
