Aunt Debrah, This is Rebecca Faircloth--Rebekah's best friend from Ocean Springs. All I can tell you about them is that they live near Vancleave High School which is always used as a shelter. If food/ice/water, etc. are coming into Vancleave, then they are getting it there. Also, you know Sam and how resourceful he is...i can guarantee you he is out getting them the things they need.
So while I don't have any real info on them because I keep trying to call and can't get through either, I just wanted you to know that someone else is worried about them as well and loves them just as much. If you hear anything please let me know: dreaming00@yahoo.com (my cell doesn't work either)

My father is a Mississippi native with all of his family still in Mississippi. He has a sister and brother in law Al & Helen Foretich which we heard were OK. He also found out that his childhood home at 467 Caillovet Street, Biloxi 39531, that his Mother, Gladys Dalgo lived in has been destroyed and his mother is staying with her niece in D'Iberville MS. We don't know if she is OK. My father talked to his brother and sister in law Jerry & Mattie Dalgo on Sunday evening and they said they were going to stay home and ride out the storm. We have not heard anything since that phone call on Sunday night. My Uncle also has three sons Bobby, Jerry and Andy Dalgo. We have heard nothing from any of them. My cousin Jerry Dalgo is a Councilman in Ocean Springs. And my other two cousins Andy and Bobby Dalgo own the Crown Dodge Dealership. If anyone has word about any of my family members, it would help my 80 year old father (and me) very much. Jerry and Mattie Dalgo reside at 725 Pine Drive 39564. Not too sure of my cousin. Please call my father George Dalgo at 410-686-7537...my home (Debbie Dalgo) 410-529-8898 or my cell 443-676-8334 if you can help us locate them. God bless everyone in that has been touched by this terrible tragedy.

Not sure about the entire family. If they went to Vancleave there are probably okay. Theresa's mother had a lot of family in Vancleave and they are ok. Theresa and David are okay. They are in Destin. Stephen - We have no info, but are looking for Mark Mohler & family. We are longtime friends in NC. He has 9 brothers/parents. Does your Teresa Mohler know them and are they ok?

I had a friend that returned to St. Andrews and from what he has told me, in general the houses are still standing but sustained alot of flooding. My sister was able to go back to Magnolia Bayou subdivision yesterday and said that my parents' house is OK and that it appears there were many houses flooded. Check out www.wlbt.com (helicopter second tour) for an aerial view of Ocean Springs. It was somewhat difficult for me to make out and landmarks, but I was able to see the harbor and front and east beach. Those areas sustained major damage! I looked all the houses along the beach are gone. I also hear that Oak Park Elementary school is gone. I grew up in OS and it's a depressing, sick feeling to see this type of devastation. I hope and pray all my friends who live there are OK. Please keep me updated. Thanks. Duke Dang

Is Ocean Springs High School still being used as a shelter? My parents, Jack and Nena Mullenger at 290 Holcomb Boulevard, just down from the high school did not evacuate. I wonder if they are in their home or at the HS and unable to communicate. Thanks, Robert Mullenger 650-279-5612 Our family stayed on Stennis ave throughout the storm and are there now -- they said houses on stennis had some flooding (their's did not) and trees down but that was it. We got a phone call from them today. They can call out on their cell phones but we can't call through to them. I hope you're family is safe as well. WHAT ADDRESS ON STENNES AVENUE? MY LOVED ONES ARE AT 105....IF YOU HAVE FURTHER CONTACT WITH YOUR FAMILY COULD YOU SEE IF THEY HAVE CONTACT WITH MINE? THERE ARE MANY MEDICAL CONCERNS AND THEY NEED ATTENTION......ELIESTER@ALLTEL.NET

Post by Villa Maria on Sept 1, 2005 9:36:46 GMT -5
My grandfather was at the Villa Maria in OS through the hurricane. We have had several short cell phone calls make it through. The following is all I know
-The residents were moved downstair to a common room for the storm, but have sense been allowed back into their apartments. -The building itself is intact -He stated that everyone is ok, but I can't gurantee this. -As of 10pm Wednesday evening, the Red Cross had been there distributing sandwiches and water. -The have 2 generators, one is working the elevators.
For the most part, it appears that the Villa Maria was very lucky.
Best wishes and prayers to all
