Is there any information about gaining employment to work on this or any other rebuilding project? I have been trying to find some leads and I would like a suggestion. Thank you, Jeremy Lee

We need a bridge to Biloxi, as soon as possible, it is time for MDOT does what they were created to do. There are many people that work in Biloxi and they need the bridge. To delay the construction of the bridge so as to make it pleasing to the eye or whatever, should not be a concern to the present regime of our government officials. I live by the foot of the bridge and see no problem with the access on or off that needs to be changed from the foot of the bridge. What people and our city leaders do not realize if the bridge comes down to where it is now, another storm will wipe it out, we will be up the creek again. Wake up city leaders and let MDOT do their job, the city is not paying for the bridge. Let’s get a bridge built as soon as possible so workers can get to and from work and be able to spend their earnings in this city, instead of having to buy extra gas so as to get to work.
The people that were at the Isle to design what this City should look like in the future are not from here and do not know our real needs for the present and their plans will take much too long to accomplish. We do not need a Ferry or Harbor District. Elevation is to low for businesses in that area

We have a great opportunity for now and the future. We should look at the downtown section of OS and use that as our inspiration for going forward. This city is the jewel on the coast. My roots go back to Westlake Ohio and and was back recently. A new development was built with private money very much like what has been proposed. It is a shame the people of OS can't see this project. WE can't put things back as they were. We need to plan for many years out unless we're moving on. Ten years down the road who wants to look at empty strip malls? A bridge will come but that won't happen over night. A ferry and or rail transit would sure cut down on traffic and gas. When you don't buy gas then the price goes down.

Our ancestors go back to before this city was named Ocean Springs so our roots are also set firm in this city and wish to see the quaintness and charm remain as was in downtown and bring back some of the special places that were to look as much like they were as possible. However, we already have six lanes on 90 and I see no reason why a high bridge couldn't be blended in with those already exisiting lanes with out a high elavation taking in the beautiful entrance to our city. It truly needs a walking/bike space for those that walk across to work or shop. We have to remember that these are "OUR TAX DOLLARS" so we need to think of what we are asking our children and grandchilden to have to pay down the road. Will they be able to pay the Taxes. It now is almost impossible to own a car here because of the cost of car tags on this coast . Texas/ many otherstates was $35.00 12 years ago and only $39. or $40 now. Rrebuilding with future growth in mind is important, however cost to our residents with increase in Tax are needed to be considered. We have a great opportunity for now and the future.
