I just want to say "thank you" for having this message board. I live in Texas. The day after Katrina hit I was so worried about all my family that live in OS. I didn't know if they were safe or even alive. I posted a message and 6 minutes later I got a response from someone in GA. It happened to be someone that grew up with me in OS and had lived in the same neighborhood where my family still live. My cousin from OS was visiting her at the time and had missed the hurricane. I immediately called the number she left on the message board and was able to talk with my cousin. My cousin was able to tell me about the family in OS because her husband had been through the hurricane and now was visiting in GA also. Thanks again! Jan

I too would like to give a big thanks to the message board! I am in Idaho Springs, CO and am able to feel connected to Ocean Springs and my brother in law and his family by accessing this website. My husband flew down and is helping them w/ the clean up and providing neighborhood watch. Hopefully the rest of his family that is in Marietta, GA will be able to join him soon so they can be together as a family again. I keep Ocean Springs and all it's people close in my thoughts as each one of you moves forward with rebuilding and renewing hope! thanks, Jacquie

I would like to thank you for the message board. I live in Western New York. My son and family live in Ocean Springs in the area of Cory Court, off Old Walnut Road. I saw a message from someone who was going to be in the area of Gulf Park Estates and wrote the person an e-mail requesting a check on my son's home. The person sent an e-mail reply along with pictures. Other-wise our family wouldn't have been able to find out about their home for many days. We will be forever grateful to that person and for this message board.
By the way, we have visited your area several times and and have enjoyed your beautiful historical village. Hopefully it hasn't all been destroyed.
