We are planning to move to Ocean Springs next month, and have been visiting your website regularly. We're so sorry to hear it will be going away; we have really enjoyed it! We are surprised that there hasn't been more activity on the message boards. We are in Richmond, Virginia, and the local boards here are very busy with area happenings and topics of interest to many different groups. It can be such a great way to get the flavor of a community. Perhaps this website will be eventually reborn if someone locally wants to try it again. We'll keep looking for one like it when we join you...what will we be, Ocean Springers? Ocean Springsians? What do you call yourselves? Anyway, we can't wait to get down there!!

We too will be moving from Kansas City to the Ocean Springs area in late summer of this year. If you find out there is a replacement site, would you please let us know? Good luck on your move.

Hey Robin, Ocean Springs is a nice little town next door to the larger city of Biloxi. It's mostly an Artist Community with a ton of Doctors.
As far as fun? There's not that much of a Night Life so most go to Biloxi. Tons of Festivals which are ranked in the top 20. Some really cute stores downtown when you can catch them open? And some real good places to eat.
We have two Beaches. Front Beach where everyone hangs out and East Beach which is much more quiet.
I'm not sure what your brand of entertainment is? Why are you moving here and what do you like to do? ? ?
As far as Cost of Living. . . We have a good amount of Rentals which range from $600.00 on up per month. Utilities are a bit high in the summer due to A/C but you can get the Power Company to levelize your billing after you've been here a while. The Water Dept. use to charge a $60.00 deposit just to turn your water on but I'm not sure anymore. I do know they still have MY $60.00!
Hope that helps?
